Unified Portal Capability to Be Extended to Wireless Standard Users with Upcoming Integration of Microsoft SharePoint Server |
March 21st, 2009 - Brooklyn, New York, - B2B Soft, a business-to-business software company specializing in business management and POS solutions for the wireless/cellular retail industry, announced today the addition of a unified portal to its flagship product, Wireless Standard. Complete integration with the portal application, Microsoft SharePoint Server, is expected by mid August 2009.
Having your organization work in concert is especially important in competitive times. Businesses are more effective and corporate and sales goals more easily achieved, when everyone is on the same page. Having a company wide portal is the best solution; a place where everyone in the organization can view important information and protocols and communicate with each other, as well as share data, documents, happenings, schedules, and progress in real time. Collaboration among individuals and teams within the company is facilitated, business processes can be implemented from a central location, and company wide access to content management features as well as to essential business intelligence information can be made available, all resulting in improved business practices.
The addition of Microsoft SharePoint Server is set to make Wireless Standard an indispensable and even more expansive application. The fully integrated, customizable, and flexible portal will give Wireless Standard users greater reach via a single, unified platform for management of their intranet, extranet, and Internet applications. It features simple, easily built and managed, live, interactive business intelligence portals for the assembly and display of business data from multiple sources, using dashboards, web parts, scorecards, key performance indicators, and business data connectivity technologies.
Wireless Standard client will enjoy boosted employee productivity through the simplification of most everyday business activities like workflows for tracking, reporting, review, and analysis. Other significant benefits include improved and more profitable decision making from simplified company wide access to information across different systems and services, as well as from the storage and presentation of critical data in a centralized location.
Utilizing integrated Microsoft SharePoint sites in Wireless Standard, companies will be able to store, share and distribute calendars, contacts, intra and extra net links, discussions, tasks, bulletin boards, and announcements, fostering coordination and collaboration. And construction on the Microsoft platform will ensure comprehensive synchronization with all Microsoft Office applications.
“We have wanted to provide a unified portal for our Wireless Standard clients for awhile now,” says Steve Orlov, B2B Soft’s Executive Vice-President of Sales. “We looked at a variety of options including building a portal, but we wanted to give our customers a sophisticated, finished solution that would easily mesh with the other applications they currently use. That’s why we chose Microsoft SharePoint. Wireless Standard is built on a Microsoft platform, so it makes sense to provide Microsoft developed platforms on both ends. It makes for smooth integration and unparalleled support, both for us and for our clients.”
“B2B Soft is constantly adapting and improving the features of Wireless Standard,” says longtime client Ronie Kalasho, president of Talk-A-Lot Wireless, 45 location agent in Michigan. “It’s not only a product my business relies on daily, but one that consistently addresses the changing needs of the marketplace. With the adoption of SharePoint they have once again shown that they take our business needs very seriously.”
B2B Soft is confident that the choice of Microsoft SharePoint as a unified portal will prove a great asset to Wireless Standard users. As integration happens over the course of the next few months, we’ll be providing our clients with a more in-depth look at its many different features and benefits.
